Oceanside Marine Nature Study Area Walk
Our walk on May 30th was at the Oceanside Marine Nature Study Area. It is a marshland that gives you opportunities for good looks at waders and shorebirds which was not disappointing.

The Presidents Message
Hello my little birding friends! Hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the birds. Some are migrating back up from the south. I’m starting to have redwing blackbirds and grackles at my feeders and have a beautiful flicker at the feeder.
Sika Deer on Long Island
An interesting article in the Great South Bay News caught my eye, as it told of a Sika Deer population in Southaven Park. I knew that the Sika, a Japanese deer, were in captivity at the Bronx Zoo, so this was a fun discovery.
