According to current research, today’s children spend 50% of their time on some type of device, and 90% of their time indoors. The recent quarantine has caused families to cut back on outings, keeping children inside much of the time. Summer is perfect for getting outside to enjoy all that nature offers.
Audubon for Kids offers great DIY activities, home experiments, interesting information and projects for kids and families to explore. Beyond observing or identifying birds, they give children space to explore and feel connected to the natural world. There are units on climate change, shore birds, birds of prey and loads of activities that the whole family can enjoy. All that’s needed is your curiosity.
