Birds of a Feather Flock Together 2022 Recap
Bluegrass musician Buddy Merriam and Back Roads provided live musical accompaniment for this amazing event that also featured honey and BEE education by Beekeeper Fernando of Soft Honey.
CEED’s Biologist and Ranger Eric brought in some live animals including a bearded dragon, tarantula, turtles, and snake for which he shared anecdotes and factual histories.
Art was also a focus of the event and the GSBAS presented a unique Garden Art craft for those in attendance. Local wood carver Mark Kenedy was on hand to share his woodcarving knowledge and the Spirit of Huntington Art Center sponsored a children’s painted bird art project.
The GSBAS would like to thank everyone who donated time and talent for this amazing event.

Parks and Trails on Long Island – Sept/Oct 2025
I love going to the beach because it is so beautiful and quiet beach with great views. I love walking along the water to the rocks and back-it’s a great workout. It’s fun looking for shells.
