GSBAS & Bayard Cutting Arboretum Horticultural Society Team Up

Glenn Reed and Karen Andres
Great South Bay Audubon had the pleasure of presenting ourselves at the Annual Plant Sale hosted by the Bayard Cutting Arboretum’s Horticultural Society. The plant sale is a big fundraiser the Horticultural Society runs each year. The proceeds are all donated back to the Arboretum for improvements to the park.
This year we set up our table along with several other groups to talk to people as they exited the sale. We had many visitors come to our table to talk about Audubon’s activities, our programs and take a few pamphlets we had on display to help improve their yards. We were very lucky to have somewhat favorable weather conditions. On Sunday, June 1, the sun shined and our volunteers were able to soak up the sun. Thanks to Joe Abraham, Mary Rasmussen, Jeanne Halton and Christine Larkin for representing Great South Bay Audubon.Â
If you know of an event where we can present ourselves and would like to represent us, reach out to greatsouthbayaudubon@gmail.com.Â

I love going to the beach because it is so beautiful and quiet beach with great views. I love walking along the water to the rocks and back-it’s a great workout. It’s fun looking for shells.
